Back Pain Treatment in Drogheda

Back pain can make ordinary things — working, walking, sleeping or playing with the kids — feel harder than they should. At Kaizen Body Restore in Drogheda, David O’Rourke offers gentle, hands-on Amatsu therapy tailored to how you are moving and feeling on the day.

The aim is to understand the wider pattern of tension and movement around your back, hips and legs, then work with you toward greater comfort and easier movement. Every person's situation is different, so we discuss what is appropriate for you before treatment.

When people come to us

People may book because of lower back stiffness, discomfort after long periods at a desk, muscular tension after physical work, or recurring aches that make daily activities less comfortable. Back pain has many possible causes. We do not assume that one tight muscle or one posture explains every case.

If pain is severe, worsening, follows a serious accident, or comes with concerning symptoms, speak with a GP or seek urgent medical help as appropriate before booking hands-on treatment.

What happens in an Amatsu session?

We begin by talking through your symptoms, relevant health history, work and day-to-day activities. David then assesses movement and uses gentle, hands-on techniques with the soft tissues and joints as appropriate to you. He explains what he is doing and checks how it feels throughout the session.

Amatsu is a whole-body approach: a session may look beyond the exact place where you feel discomfort. We will discuss sensible next steps and, where a medical assessment is needed, encourage you to see the right clinician. Treatment results vary, and no particular outcome can be promised.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know what is causing my back pain before booking?

No. Tell us what you are experiencing and any diagnoses or investigations you have already had. We can explain what an Amatsu session involves; a GP or other appropriate clinician can assess symptoms that may need medical diagnosis or treatment.

Is treatment suitable if pain runs into my leg?

Pain, tingling or weakness in a leg can have different causes. Contact your GP if symptoms are worsening or disrupting normal activity. If there is severe or worsening weakness or numbness in both legs, loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the genitals or bottom, seek emergency care immediately.

Where are you based?

The clinic is at Unit 5 Donore Rd, Industrial Estate, Drogheda, Co. Louth, A92 KV6F (see the location on Google Maps). The website also lists an outcall service; please confirm availability when booking. Call 086 391 7654 if you need directions.
